A registered charity set up in 1971 to assist people who have, or about to have, a urinary diversion of any kind. The Association was formed in 1971 as the Urinary Conduit Association to help people who are about to undergo or have undergone surgery resulting in diversion of the urinary stream. In 1984 the name was changed to the Urostomy Association (UA).
