Kings International logo

If you are seeking a private centre for the treatment of a brain tumour, King’s College Hospital is the UK’s largest neurosurgical unit and the only hospital in London for brain tumour treatment which provides all the neurosurgical subspecialties in one hospital for adults and children.

King’s College Hospital is one of London’s most prestigious teaching hospitals, with a history of clinical excellence dating back to 1840. The Private Patient Service is housed in the Guthrie Wing. Called King’s International, it offers patients the highest standards of clinical and customer care, whether they are from the UK or overseas (residents of more than 50 countries were treated last year).

Kings College Hospital

Surgery for brain and spinal tumours

A specialist team offers a multidisciplinary approach to managing brain tumours, including oncology and radiotherapy.

  • Mr Richard Gullen - Clinical Lead and Consultant Neurosurgeon

  • Mr Nick Thomas - Consultant Neurosurgeon

  • Mr Richard Selway - Consultant Neurosurgeon

The neuro-oncology service is closely linked to the oncology service at the Royal Marsden Hospital. King’s has two image guidance systems and two stereotactic frames for precision brain tumour surgery in both adults and children. The spinal neurosurgical service deals with everything from simple conditions such as sciatica to up-to-date disc replacement and spinal fusion.

A designated General Manager and a Clinical Director lead a highly commended nursing team and pharmacy team dedicated to patient safety and care.
