The symptoms of anal cancer may be:
- Bleeding
- Pain
- Discomfort
- The sensation of a lump
- Itching of the skin around the anus
- Changes in existing anal warts
Many of these symptoms may be caused by benign conditions eg haemorrhoids or and anal fissure, so thorough examination is important
